This is the blog for the Chasm project, which has several sub-projects.
The Chasm soundscape project includes improvised and studio recorded soundscapes.
In the Chasm Interactive Music Technology project I aim to create flexible and expressive electro-acoustic setups enabling the performer to instantly create any soundscape that comes to mind. I am currently developing the CAS Trumpet Mod, a system of attachable sensors that enables simultaneous interaction with both the trumpet and different software-based musical tools.
The Chasm industry project aims to explore different ways to distribute, license and market music.
The project is run by me, Christian Aalby Svalesen. I study Musicology and Law at the University of Oslo.
I also play trumpet+live electronics, arrange, produce and compose music.
